FAQ
The questions that come up in the first week.
My agent cannot connect or save work
Use the Source endpoint and a Source connection key or OAuth grant. An Argus read credential cannot save sessions. Check that Ducket enabled evaluation access for the same account and organization. Reconnect after revocation or a permission change.
A stale brief or revision means another edit was saved. Ask the agent to resume and apply the change to the current version. Keep the same operation ID after a disconnect. An uncertain supplier request needs Ducket reconciliation before another purchase.
For browser clients, confirm the host supports write tools and that the connector is enabled in this conversation. Host plan, workspace permissions and approvals still apply. See Connect your agent.
Why does a screen show zero when I know the market is active?
Check which zero it is. A zero over covered ground means Argus looked and found nothing that met the test, and the screen will show the coverage behind the read. A thin or untracked slice shows "not on file", a dashed tile, or "not enough coverage" instead. If you see a bare zero where you expected data, follow the receipt line under the claim to the Coverage board; the depth there usually explains it.
A screen says it could not load something. What does that mean?
It means the read failed. It does not mean the answer is nothing. Argus keeps those two cases apart on every screen. A genuine zero says so and names the filters that made it. A failed read names what failed and gives you a Retry button, so you can try again without reloading the page. While a screen is still working you see text-shaped placeholder rows rather than an empty box. If Retry keeps failing, the data is fine and the read is not: report it as below.
Why does coverage vary so much by vertical?
Argus grows market by market, deepening where its users are, rather than spreading a thin layer everywhere. The Coverage board shows exactly where it is deep, and the request control plus the sponsor-list check are how you pull it towards your market. Depth follows use.
Why do some companies show two name forms?
A company named in Japanese, Korean, or Chinese shows an English reading first with the original beside it. The original is the identity; the English is a reading aid, and where no confident reading exists the original stands alone. See Company pages.
A sponsor was dropped from a roster. Does that mean they pulled out?
It means the company was listed on a page, and a later capture of a page complete enough to show it did not list it. That is all Argus knows, so that is all it says. It is often the start of a story worth checking, and the receipt link shows you both captures.
Are the published audience numbers verified?
No, and Argus does not claim they are. They are what the event published about itself, captured with dates. Argus additionally shows whether an event's published figures agree across editions, which is often the more revealing fact. That comparison needs each captured page to have named its own edition, in its address, its title or the heading above the figures. Where a page never named one, its figures are still shown with their receipts and are simply left out of the comparison, and on a small number of events there is nothing left to compare at all.
Can the market feed choose my best target?
Market observations alone do not establish fit for your event. Use connected Source with your actual audience and inventory to research prospects. Your agent supplies the reasoning and Ducket keeps its evidence and saved reports. The feed remains a dated record of participation and roster changes.
How fresh is the data?
Events are re-crawled on a cadence tied to each event's own cycle: most often in the weeks a roster is being built, slower once the edition is imminent or past, and an operator can pin any event to a faster watch. Every surface dates what it shows; the receipt line under an answer and the Coverage board's freshness figures say how much of the catalogue was re-checked this week.
Does Argus remember my filters and my pasted lists?
For as long as the browser tab is open, yes. Move between Today, Find, Price, Keep, Prove and the Market pages and each one comes back the way you left it: the same lens, the same filters, the same page of the stream, and on Keep and Prove the list you pasted along with the answer it produced. Closing the tab or signing out clears all of it, and a pasted sponsor list is held only in the open page, never stored in your browser. It is working state rather than a saved setting. To keep a set of filters for good, save it as a lens on the signal stream or as a screen on Browse.
I found something wrong. What do I do?
Open the receipt behind the row first; the page usually explains the record. If the record is still wrong, use the report control on the row itself (every feed item carries one), or tell your Ducket contact. Corrections are made by operators with a review trail rather than silent edits.
